How to make a t-shirt mockup
- Upload your print. A transparent PNG works best so only the artwork shows on the fabric. Add a second file for the back if your design has one.
- Place it. "Centre chest" is the classic graphic tee. "Left chest" puts a small logo where a pocket print would go. Use Print width and Move down to match your real print size.
- Choose fit and colour. Regular fit suits most brands; oversized has dropped shoulders and wider sleeves for streetwear. Pick from eight popular blank colours or set your own.
- Pick a style and export. Ghost mannequin floats the shirt as if worn by an invisible model; flat lay places it on the floor like a product photo.
Print sizes that look right
Print shops usually work in inches. The width slider is a share of the chest, so use these as a starting point:
| Print type | Real size (adult MโL) | Slider |
|---|---|---|
| Left chest logo | 3โ4 in (8โ10 cm) wide | Left chest |
| Small centre graphic | 6โ8 in (15โ20 cm) | 35โ45% |
| Standard front print | 10โ12 in (25โ30 cm) | 55โ65% |
| Oversized / streetwear front | 12โ14 in (30โ35 cm) | 70โ85% |
| Full back print | 12โ14 in (30โ35 cm) | Same width as front |
Export artwork at 300 DPI for print: a 12-inch-wide design is 3600 px. For the mockup, anything from 1500 px up looks crisp.
Tips for dark shirts
- Check your design on black and navy before ordering. Dark linework that disappears on fabric usually needs a white outline or underbase.
- Keep a transparent background. A white box around the artwork will show as a white rectangle on coloured tees.
- Neon and very saturated colours print duller in real life than on screen, so treat the render as a best case.

Frequently asked questions
Can I add a back print?
Yes. Upload a second file in "Back print" and use the Back view. The back design is placed upright and the right way round, as someone behind the wearer would see it.
What is a ghost mannequin mockup?
A product shot where the garment keeps the shape of a body but no model or mannequin is visible. It shows fit and drape more clearly than a flat shirt.
Why is there a white box around my design?
Your file has a solid background. Export it again as a PNG with transparency, or remove the background first.
Can I make hoodie or polo mockups?
Hoodies, yes: use the 3D hoodie mockup, which has the same controls plus pullover and zip-up styles. Polos are not available yet.
Is my artwork uploaded?
No. Your design is rendered in your own browser and never leaves your device.
Can I sell products using these mockup images?
Yes. The images are free for commercial use with no watermark, as long as you own the rights to the artwork you print.
