How to make a phone mockup
- Take a screenshot on any phone, or export a screen from Figma at mobile size.
- Upload it. "Fill screen" covers the display edge to edge and keeps the top of long screenshots visible. "Show whole" fits the entire image with black bars if the proportions differ.
- Style the phone. Pick a body colour and choose standing or lying flat.
- Find the angle and download a transparent PNG to place on your own background.
Screenshot sizes that fit best
The 3D screen uses a tall 19.5 : 9 shape, the most common proportion on current Android phones and iPhones. Screenshots at these sizes fill it without cropping:
| Source | Typical size |
|---|---|
| Most Android phones (FHD+) | 1080 × 2340 or 1080 × 2400 |
| Recent iPhones | 1179 × 2556 or 1290 × 2796 |
| Figma / Framer frame | 390 × 844 or 393 × 852 at 3× |
Older 16 : 9 screenshots also work; switch to "Show whole" to avoid cropping the bottom.

Frequently asked questions
Is this an iPhone or Samsung model?
Neither. The phone is a generic modern smartphone design without any brand logo, so you can use it freely in marketing without trademark concerns.
Will my screenshot look sharp?
Yes. The screen shows your image unlit and at full brightness, like a real display. Upload the original screenshot rather than a compressed copy for best results.
Can I show the back of the phone?
Use the Back view to see the camera module and body colour.
Is there a transparent PNG option?
Keep the background on Transparent and click Download PNG.
Are my screenshots uploaded?
No. They are processed in your browser, which makes the tool safe for unreleased apps and client work under NDA.
